Editorial review policy

This page documents how our team picks bookmakers to review, what we look at, and what an editorial score means on this site.

Operator selection

We start with the UK Gambling Commission’s public licence register. From there we shortlist bookmakers that actively market to UK sports bettors, have been live long enough to assess fairly, and publish identifiable corporate ownership. Newly launched brands are usually held back until we have more to go on.

What we look at

How the editorial score is built

The editorial score is a single decimal figure between 1.0 and 5.0. It is a weighted summary of the six checks above. It is not a regulatory score, not generated by an automated system, and does not promise any specific experience. Two reviewers must agree on the final score before it is published.

How reviews are written

Reviews are written by hand. We do not copy promotional copy from operator landing pages or marketing materials. Where a paragraph is borderline between observation and opinion, we keep it as observation and let the reader form their own view.

What we will not do

Updates and corrections

Bookmaker products change frequently. We review brands again when material details change, when readers point out something that needs correcting, or on a periodic schedule. Corrections requests can be sent to editorial@ukprimebets.com.

Independence

UK Prime Bets is funded by affiliate commission but is editorially independent. The commercial and editorial workflows are kept separate. You can read more on our affiliate disclosure.
